Frequently asked questions
How the TableSnap network works, for diners and for the restaurants on it.
How TableSnap works
What is TableSnap?+
TableSnap is a curated network of independent restaurants. Each restaurant gets its own branded menu page that diners reach by scanning a QR code at the table or opening a direct link. From one page guests can browse the menu, read reviews, join the restaurant's loyalty programme, and reserve a table.
How do I open a restaurant's page?+
Scan the QR code on the table or at the entrance, or open the restaurant's direct link. The page works in any phone browser, so there is nothing to install.
Can I find new restaurants on TableSnap?+
Yes. The Discover page lists restaurants on the network near you, and you can search by name or dish. Only restaurants that have chosen to be listed appear there.
For diners
Do I order or pay through TableSnap?+
No. TableSnap shows you the menu, reviews, and reservations. You order with the restaurant's own staff or system, the way you normally would. There is no cart or checkout.
Can I leave a review?+
Yes. Signed-in diners can recommend a restaurant or a specific dish and leave a short note. Reviews help other guests decide what to try and help owners see what is working.
How does loyalty work for me?+
When a restaurant runs a loyalty programme, you collect credit on visits and the restaurant rewards you over time. You join from the restaurant's page; your standing is tied to your TableSnap account so it follows you between visits.
For restaurant owners
What do I get as a restaurant on TableSnap?+
A branded menu page with your own colours and logo, QR codes and a direct link to share, a reservations inbox, customer reviews, and a loyalty programme you control. Everything is managed from one owner dashboard.
How do diners reach my page?+
Through a QR code you print for tables, table tents, or the front door, and through a direct link you can share on Google, Instagram, or your own site. Both point at the same live page, so an update reaches every guest at once.
Can I update my menu and have guests see it straight away?+
Yes. Edit items, prices, categories, and availability from the dashboard. Changes go live immediately, so the menu in a guest's hand always matches the one in your kitchen.
Do I have to be listed in Discover?+
No. Appearing in the public Discover directory is opt-in. You can run a private menu reached only by your own QR code and link, and turn on discovery later.
Accounts and sign-in
How do I sign in?+
Sign-in is passwordless. Enter your email and we send a magic link, or continue with Google. There is no password to remember or reset.
Do diners need an account to view a menu?+
No. Browsing a menu, scanning a QR code, and reserving a table need no account. You only sign in to leave reviews or join a restaurant's loyalty programme.
I did not get my magic link.+
Check your spam folder and confirm the email address is correct, then request a new link. Links expire after a short window for security, so use the most recent one. If it still does not arrive, contact support.
Privacy and your data
What data do you store?+
For restaurants we store the menu, branding, reviews, reservations, and loyalty records needed to run the page. For diners we store the account email and any reviews or loyalty standing you create. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we do not sell it.
Can I export or delete my data?+
Yes. You can request an export or deletion of your account data at any time. We are GDPR-aligned; see our privacy policy for the full detail of what we hold and how to exercise your rights.
